Wheel thrown teapot on porcelain clay and custom glaze applied inside and out. Spout and lid wheel thrown with a hand pulled handle and inside hole punched tea filter/diffuser. Medium to large teapot and holds around ~30 fluid ounces.
Incredible accent glazes causing the drip/runs.
Stamped makers mark bottom, sanded smooth finish. Measures approximately about 9" wide from spout to handle edge, 5.25" high, 4.5" wide.
Built in filter/infuser for loose leaf tea (see pic).
IMPORTANT! Ceramic teapot can not be used for boiling water on a stove.
Not all ceramic ware is suitable for use on a fire. It is not visible by naked eye, but pottery begins to expand. While it is heating It happens uneven and may cause cracks in the teapot. Some ceramic products, such as pots for baking, can be put in the oven. There they are heated slowly and evenly.
This teapot can be used to brew hot tea by putting tea leaves or tea bags inside and adding hot water of the desired temperature.
Dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended.
